6. Shared Lines by Stevie Davies

Shared Lines was created by Glass Artist Stevie Davies in response to a commission from Creative Melbourne to create a sculpture inspired by the sketches and sculptures of 20th Century Artist Ronald Pope who lived and worked in Melbourne for his entire working life creating numerous civic sculptures may of which are still in place today.

Stevie’s design combines a mild steel frame, made by Acres Creative Engineered Solutions in Melbourne, with inserts of coloured fused glass which were created by members of Creative Melbourne’s Volunteers as a creative workshop in July 2026. The piece will find a permanent position after Melbourne Festival.

We would like to thank Arts Council England for awarding Creative Melbourne a National Lottery Project Grant to fund a series of Events, Commissions, Workshops and The Secret Sculpture Trail as a celebration of Melbourne Festival coming of age with the 21st Melbourne Festival Art & Architecture Trail in September 2026
